We were asked to create a showreel for our PPP module as a means of showing our best work off in a professional manner without being too boring. Showreels are perfect for displaying work as you can keep the audience entertained with not only your work, but with a range of transitions and effects. I kept my showreel under two minutes as an audience isn't going to sit longer than that when they might possibly have hundreds of others to see or a busy schedule.
I included first year work as I feel that I did a lot more animating in the first year than this year. Although I thought most of it was really bad, it was the only selection of work I had. I feel that the HiVit work was definitely the best animation I've worked on and was better than my solo work as it involved a team using their various skills.
