OUAN402 - PPP:
Dante's Inferno was one of the first ever Xbox 360 games I had the privilege of playing. I loved the really well thought out designs of the main characters, mobs, boss monsters, background and just everything in general! The use of colour contrasts really well as the cutscenes in the beginning of the game have a very natural, clean and pure appearance in comparison to later on when Dante has to finally work his way through the rings of hell. (The rings of hell become gloomier and gloomier in terms of colour using bright reds to begin with, slowly merging into deep purples, greys, browns and eventually, lots and lots of black!)
I really enjoyed playing this game mainly because of gameplay but also because of how well the artists' impressions of hell were portrayed. They seemed incredibly life-like and the scenery was not only beautiful but terrifying as well - probably the main goal of the game! The areas were fun to explore and were heavily influenced by what I assume the Bible and many other historical novels (such as Dante's Divine Comedy) as they seemed a very stereotypical way of depicting hell - although a mighty good job of it!
