www.adventuretime.wikia.com is just one of the many sites where Pendleton Ward's amazing illustrated comics of Adventure Time and Bravest Warriors can be found. I mentioned already that I love the anime for it's unique quirkiness and fun character designs. However, did I mention how awesome the comics are too?
I just received one in the post yesterday morning in fact! May I say that in person, these comics are beautifully drawn with bright, strong inky colours that stand out on the page. I really like the traditional style of inks and pen in comparison with the anime which uses computerised images.
Also, and this may sound strange, but the overall feel of having the comic in your hands is just a joy on its own! You can feel the smoothness of the pages as they flick through your fingers. I can really appreciate the artwork that Ward has created more when I have the actual comic first hand.
