After being set the brief of reflect I suddenly came to a rush of potential ideas for an animation/presentation of the progress I have made throughout the year. Whenever I have to present something about myself or a personal journey, I include a "mini-me" of which narrates the story/work. My mini me will be present in this project as I plan to do a very Grace-like comical set of sketches (comedy sketches) to represent everything I have experienced in my first year at Leeds College of Art.
I plan to provoke many emotions in my presentation with the main two being humour and sympathy. My mini me will be overly exaggerated, brightly coloured and cute, small, and chubby with large eyes. My signature "chibi" style of Manga will be used as I love this style as it seems to me to be the easiest way of inflicting emotion on my audience visually as I can use immense exaggeration without it looking too silly and unfitting for the style.
I plan to use this style (obviously a lot more refined and stylised) as it reflects my day to day life in a comedic fashion. I will colour the entirety of sketches I do as colour will express the emotion of the animation better than just black and white in my opinion.
