Inkwell Volunteering
I've currently been looking into volunteering for companies that I'd like to be involved with or that may relate to future work in terms of work experience in certain settings and industries. My interest and experiences in the mental health area has grown over the past few years and I'd like to somehow be able to bring the creative and psychological industries together either in the form of art therapy, craft classes, or other general therapeutic/helpful events.
Inkwell is an organisation a few miles down the road from my flat. They help those with mental difficulties and the wider community to unleash their creative spirit and nurture their minds. It is a safe and secure place for service users to engage and learn new skills whilst feeling cared for and part of a team. I really respect this company for what they do so I believe they would be brilliant to get involved with. I've been struggling to find work for years now, be it due to my own mental health problems, or overall decline in jobs in Leeds as a whole. They're part of Mind, which makes them reputable and easily accessible.
