OUAN502 - Deershed Festival:
To add a little bit more experience and variation to my PPP repertoire, I decided it would be a great idea to take part in the Deershed Festival up in my home county of North Yorkshire in July. It was originally the student advice team that contacted everyone to ask for volunteers to help with the arts and craft section of the festival and they wanted a few animators to help with claymation animation, teaching young children and adults alike about the basics of claymation.
I'm really excited about camping for the weekend and helping out with this event as it goes hand in hand with my teaching experience and will give me some confidence on working with strangers and approaching a new audience.
My next meeting is just after Easter with the student advice team regarding what will happen, when, and so forth. All the details will be with me then and I wish to invite some other fellow animators to the festival to help out alongside me. I think it would be a good opportunity for all of us to take part in but there are limited places.
